A Typical Day




This schedule is subject to change on a daily (or hourly) basis


Each Sunday:


4pm - Campers Arrive (INTAKE with each family includes Nurse, Director(s) for Registration, Counselors and Young Scholars initiate Introductions, Games, Cabin Move-in).  Each parent/participant meets with Young Scholars and Faculty so they may learn about the camper’s interests and to share their expertise and to arrange private/semi-private lessons.


6pm - Dinner


6:30pm - Camp Introductions


7pm - Camp Rules (Hike Camp Perimeters)


8:30pm - To Cabins


Weekdays, Monday through Thursday:


8:30 am - Campers Wake Up


8:45 am - Breakfast


9:00 am - Dish Crew & Cabin Clean Up


9:20 am - All campers enjoy the cool mornings with physical activities (ie theatrical combat, basketball, capture the flag, QUIDDITCH, field sports)


10:20 am - SNACK & Structured FREE TIME (Cabins, Hammock Garden, Clay Cliffs, TIPI etc.)


11:00 am - Morning All-Camp Meeting


FIRST DAY - MONDAY


11:15 am - Class Period 1: Innovations Classroom 


     Topics for Camp Half-Blood Camps: ANCIENT GREECE THROUGH COMMERCIAL SPACE


     Topics for Harry Potter and Fandom Camps: SCIENCE FICTION/FANTASY, WORLD BUILDING


     Topics for XGENS: Citizen Science, Crypto Currency, Experiential Computing, Redefining Art, Dramatic And Musical Arts, Biotech & Genetics, Commercial Space, Autonomous Vehicles, and Architecture, Smart Infrastructure, Energy and Sustainability in the Context of Accessibility and Abundance, and much more. 



12:30 pm - Class Period 2: Group A: Creative Engagement* (Art Space) or Group B: Movement Training (Field)


GROUP A (8 or more campers): May include one or more of the following:

     ARTS WHICH MAY INCLUDE: FINE ART/ILLUSTRATION /ARTS & CRAFTS/SET & PROP MAKING & DESIGN

    CULTURE/ CREATIVE WRITING/PERFORMANCE CLASS

   COSTUME AND WEAPON BUILDING CLASS

GROUP B (8 or more campers)

    THEATRICAL COMBAT

    MARTIAL ARTS

    IMPROVISATION


1:30 pm - Lunch


1:45 pm - Cabin Dish Crew clean up.  All other campers Rest Hour in Cabins or Tipi (board & card games-Mythomagic, cabin time)


3:00 pm - Class Period 3: Group A: Movement Training (Field) or Group B: Creative Engagement* (Art Space)


4:00 pm - Snack


4:15 pm - River time, Town Visits and/or Quests (Small groups of Campers and our Quest designated counselors head off on daily Quests based on story clues found on and off the Camp Demigod Campus. Quests take Campers throughout the different settings of Demigod Lodge 23 acres and Leavenworth, including the beaches, hiking trails, forests, town shops, cemetery and library, among other locations). Other Campers head off campus for beach time by the Wenatchee River & hiking or remain on campus, designing their weapons and swords, playing card and board games or just hang out sharing stories along with our Camp Demigod faculty and staff.


6:15 pm - Campers Shower/Clean Up for Dinner


6:30 pm - Dinner


6:45 pm - Clean up After Dinner


7:30pm - Free time; Optional Capture the Flag, Quidditch  and Other Movement Games


8:30 pm - Nightly Dessert & Nightly Ritual 


9:00 pm - Lights out for pre-teen students 


10:00 pm - Teen students must be quiet in their cabins


11:00 pm CITs in their cabins.


Friday:  Classes & Open time to work on projects & performances, all camp quest


Friday Last Night: Possible Camp Dance, Storytelling/Camper Affirmations/Beading Ceremony/Joy Jar


Closing Day Saturday: All Camp Clean Up and Packing (for those who are leaving)


Final preparations for festival presentations


4 pm – 6pm - Festival Presentation for Families of Collaborative Projects


6 pm- Camp Dismissed


Campers who stay for multiple week have a free night with movies, games, time to refuel for the next camp session!
